Educator

I’ve been a freelance educator since 2007, working as both a creative writing and visual arts workshop facilitator and an associate lecturer.  As a writer I’ve run creative writing and poetry workshops and projects for a range of communities and a number of different organizations such as Writing East Midlands, Global Education Derby and the UK’s first HipHop school ‘Baby People’. As a visual artist I’ve led graffiti art workshops and mural projects for over a decade. My educational approach evolved from activism and the person centred approach of Freirian ‘Popular Education’.
